May 7 Announcements

  • If any current Grade 7 and 8 students are interested in attending the Quebec Winter Carnival school trip for Feb. 2020, there will be a brief meeting in Mr. Barker’s class (room 216) at recess time today.
  • A reminder to all students travelling to New Work next week that there is a mandatory parent/student meeting tomorrow evening (Wednesday) at 6:30pm in the LRC.
  • BJH’s second annual WE Walk for Water will be held at the end of May- you have by now probably noticed some of the fact sheets posted in the hallways. Each $25 we raise provides one person with clean water for their lifetime. There will be a water bottle in the office throughout the month. Your spare change can make a huge difference! For every $100 raised we will do a draw for a handmade rafiki bracelet made in Kenya. Let’s get collecting!
  • No Rugby this week or next. Coach Morgan is gone to Ireland with the U18 team.
  • Students in 7-3 and 7-4 are asked to have their textbook with them for Sciences Humaines today.
  • Improve practice today after school.
  • Hockey team lost two games yesterday, 3-0 to St Kevin’s (player of the game for the Saxons was Kelly Hoskins) and 3-0 to Carbonear Collegiate (player of the game for the Saxons was Griffin Case.)
  • Please be advised that the LRC and Computer lab upstairs of being used this morning for the PCAP assessment for class 84.  This will include the first two periods and quite possibly the third. The LRC is therefore off limits to all students, except those who have a regularly scheduled class in one of the upstairs rooms
  • Creative Writing will meet at lunch time in Rm 223.  Come at the bell and bring your lunch.
  • There is concert percussion period 1 and symphonic percussion period 4. Last period today there is concert band.
