On Tuesday, January 5, the alternate curriculum students of Beaconsfield Junior High School were taken on a tour of the Telegram facility. As part of their daily program, these students deliver newspapers to the various classrooms throughout their school. This tour, which was as entertaining as it was informative, provided them with an opportunity to see the process by which newspapers are printed, packaged and shipped to their various destinations. They were able to sit on the assembly line to package flyers as well as sit on a forklift. Their fondest memory was receiving a copy of the Telegram featuring their picture on the cover.
The students, teachers, and administration of Beaconsfield Junior High would like to express our sincerest appreciation to the staff of the Telegram for providing our students with this wonderful experience. The students were thoroughly entertained and appreciated the kindness and consideration shown them by Bill Boland, Cathy Collins, Angela Warford, Denise Dugan and Rick Ryall. We had an extremely memorable experience and would highly recommend this tour to other students and teachers. Thank you and we wish you all the best for the New Year.
