Ensuring your kids are safe online means knowing your way around the electronics they use. While there are many benefits to these electronics, there are also many hidden dangers we often, as parents, don’t think about. The goal of this presentation is to make you think more critically about your child’s behavior and practices when using electronics and the Internet and to also make you aware of the realities your child is facing with these ever advancing technologies.
On May 14,2013 at 600pm the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary will be hosting two presentations on the topic of Recognizing Electronic And Computer Threats; A Parent’s Guide to Keeping Kids Cyber Safe.
Cst Karen Hemmens will be at O’Donel High School, Ruth Ave., Mt. Pearl and Cst Kevin Foley will be at Beaconsfield Jr. High School,Waterford Bridge Road, St. John’s. These sessions will be sponsored by Subway, Butler Group, who will supply a light meal of Subway sandwiches for all who attend. Register early as space is limited.
